However, after the US announced that July consumers’ confidence dropped to the lowest since February, the euro began to lose its gains. The weak US economic data caused forex investors to withdraw from highly risky assets such as Stocks and the euro.</p> <p>American Conference Board released a report on Tuesday which showed that in July, American consumers’ confidence index dropped to 50.4, second only to the low at 46.4 hit in February, and lower than the expected 50.8 by economists. The June data amended from 52.9 to 54.3.</p> <p>Forex analysts commented that although the euro fell from 11-week high against the US dollar, forex investors’fears against European sovereignty debt crisis weakened, which would continue to benefit the euro. The European bank stress test result released last Friday helped to regain confidence to Euro-zone finance.</p> <p>Recently released euro-zone economic data was better than expected, so was the data on Tuesday.
