Researchers behind ‘Anthropocene equation’ say impact of people’s intense activity on Earth far exceeds that of natural events spread across millennia

For the first time, researchers have developed a mathematical equation to describe the impact of human activity on the earth, finding people are causing the climate to change 170 times faster than natural forces.
The equation was developed in conjunction with Professor Will Steffen, a climate change expert and researcher at the Australian National University, and was published in the journal The Anthropocene Review.
The authors of the paper wrote that for the past 4.5bn years astronomical and geophysical factors have been the dominating influences on the Earth system. The Earth system is defined by the researchers as the biosphere, including interactions and feedbacks with the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere and upper lithosphere.
But over the past six decades human forces “have driven exceptionally rapid rates of change in the Earth system,” the authors wrote, giving rise to a period known as the Anthropocene.
“Human activities now rival the great forces of nature in driving changes to the Earth system,” the paper said.

Recently, scientist and organizations like the EPA, NASA, are being told to shut down access to their scientific data. Told to not allow the public access to the massive amount of data that has been collected and studied. They are being silenced internally here in the USA.

The foxes are in charge of the henhouse. I predict that before it’s all over, Trump’s administration will see more scandals and resignations than Reagan, which was probably the worst in US history. Rex Tillerson’s nomination as Secretary of State shows precisely who is in charge of America’s energy policy now: the fossil fuels industry. Remember that it was Exxon Mobil that was responsible for funding much of the climate change denial disinformation campaign.
It’s ironic, isn’t it, that the whack job, FEMA concentration camp crowd got the totalitarian regime they always feared–by voting for it.

Maybe we needed that FEMA concentration camp for the minority that voted for this totalitarian corporate regime? Sure would of saved the rest of us a load of future problems and lives. Maybe even save our society and planet. Darn, we missed our chance. I did not realize until now that they actually had a good idea instead of a crazy paranoid thought due to their hatred of President Obama. Sigh..
