The Producer Of The Planned Parenthood Videos Admits That They Are A Fraud
Blowing up the Republican Party’s scheme to destroy Planned Parenthood, David Daleiden admitted that his videos are a fraud during an interview on CNN.
The admission came when Daleiden was questioned by Chris Cuomo about Carly Fiorina’s numerous deceptive comments about Planned Parenthood, during CNN’s Republican Candidates Debate. Courtesy of Raw Story:
“Carly Fiorina was referencing a sequence in our video that shows footage of a born-alive infant from a late-term abortion actually moving in the specimen pan,” he explained.
“But if you’re talking about organ harvesting and abortions and how terrible they are why would you use a stillborn fetus, which is not a function of an abortion?” Cuomo asked.
“It’s the same baby, whether it’s born dead or alive, whether the organs are harvested or not,” Daleiden replied.
“It’s also completely irrelevant to the point you’re trying to make, which is, ‘Look at what they do to these babies,’” the CNN host pressed. “It was born stillborn. It was not aborted. Doesn’t that matter to you if you’re talking about abortion?”
“It’s the same kind of fetus,” Daleiden continued to insist.
“My point is context,” Cuomo shot back. “You’re saying, ‘what they do in abortions,’ that wasn’t an abortion. That’s my point.”
Senate Liberals Crush Republicans As Democrats Block Bill To Defund Planned Parenthood
By a mostly party-line vote, Senate Democrats powered by the liberal caucus rose up and blocked a Republican bill to defund Planned Parenthood.
Democrats had no trouble getting to the minimum of 41 votes that they needed to block the bill. The final vote was 53-46, with Republicans having no chance of getting to 60 votes.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) slammed Republicans on the Senate floor, “Do you have any idea what year it is?” Warren asked. “Did you fall down, hit your head, and think you woke up in the 1950’s or the 1890’s? Should we call for a doctor? Because I simply cannot believe that in the year 2015, the United States Senate would be spending its time trying to defund women’s health care centers. You know, on second thought, maybe I shouldn’t be that surprised. The Republicans have had a plan for years to strip away women’s rights to make choices over our own bodies. Just look at the recent facts.”
Bernie Sanders Obliterates Jeb Bush For Telling Workers To Work Longer Hours
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders tore into Jeb Bush for claiming that workers need to be more productive and work longer hours.
During an interview with The New Hampshire Union-Leader editorial board, Bush said, “My aspirations for the country, and I believe we can achieve it, is for 4 percent growth as far as the eye can see, which means we have to be a lot more productive. Workforce participation has to rise from its all-time modern lows. It means that people need to work longer hours and through their productivity gain more income for their families. That’s the only way we are going to get out of this rut that we’re in.”
Sanders replied to Bush’s comments in a statement, “Unfortunately,” Sanders said, “Gov. Bush does not seem to understand what is happening in our economy today. The sad truth is that because the middle class has declined over the last 40 years, while almost all new income and wealth have gone to the people on top, Americans already work the longest hours of any people in the western industrialized world. In fact, 80 percent of working men work longer than 40 hours a week. What we need now is an economy that provides decent wages and income for the middle class, not demands that people work even longer hours than they currently do.”
